On this episode of TRECcast, we chat with Frances Smith-Dean, Executive Director of the nonprofit Zan Wesley Holmes Jr. Community Outreach Center, which offers education, workforce training, and job placement programs to help lift young people and families out of poverty.
For this year’s Associate Leadership Council community investment project, the Class of 2024 is renovating a former church building into the outreach center’s new homebase. It will include staff workspace, training and meeting rooms, an internet café, and coworking space. This project kicked off this summer and is the first of the new Dallas Catalyst Project: Mill City initiative to get started.
