On Friday, June 9, TREC’s Young Guns joined St. Philip’s School & Community Center in cutting the ribbon on their 2022 TREC Community Investors Project, which was a renovation of two quadplex apartment buildings located in the Forest District.
The renovation was completed as part of Dallas Catalyst Project: Forest District using funds raised during last year’s Young Guns Casino Night. The two buildings have been renamed The Crossing (1401 Lenway Street) and The Harmony (3302 Cleveland Street).
Led by Project Managers Arthur Mironchuk (The Beck Group) and Jelani Rainey, PE (Page Southerland Page, Inc.), the Young Guns project team repaired and replaced siding, painted the exteriors, installed new landscaping and plantings, and constructed new storage sheds, an outdoor canopy, wood slat fencing, new signage, and new lighting at doors throughout both buildings.
We are grateful to our Young Guns and project team for their dedication and to the project’s in-kind contributors: The Beck Group, Cherry Painting Company, GFF, Page Southerland Page, Potter Concrete, Stripe-A-Zone LLC, and Woodhaus, Inc.
We would also like to recognize St. Philip’s for their partnership and everyone that attended this morning’s ribbon-cutting ceremony, including TREC Chair Trey Morsbach (JLL Capital Markets), Dallas Catalyst Project Chair Mike Geisler (Venture Commercial Real Estate), Dallas City Councilman Adam Bazaldua (District 7), and Forest District community members.
