You may now watch or listen to a replay of our August 31 webinar about the first year of the Dallas Collaborative for Equitable Development (DCED).
The DCED is an ongoing community revitalization initiative led by TREC Community Investors, Dallas College, and LiftFund, and funded by JPMorgan Chase’s PRO Neighborhoods program, to provide affordable housing, jobs, career skills training, wealth creation opportunities, and additional real estate development within the Forest District, The Bottom, and West Dallas-Census Tract 205 neighborhoods.
The conversation was moderated by Felicia Pierson, Senior Director of Community Investment for TREC Community Investors, and featured Cullum Clark (George W. Bush Institute-SMU Economic Growth Initiative), Shaneika Frazier (Community Outreach Manager, Bill J. Priest – Small Business Innovation Center, Dallas College), Isaac Elizondo (LiftFund), and Becky Post (St. Philip’s School & Community Center).
You can read the white paper we produced about the first year of the DCED, entitled “Equitable Development in Southern Dallas: A Summary and Analysis of the Dallas Collaborative for Equitable Development (Year One),” here.
